Meet The Team

Who We Are

Northern Energy Services and Training is a family owned business dedicated to providing energy services to economically challenged clients. Our expertise spans from single family homes to multifamily complexes in excess of 100 units. NEST aims to save people money on energy bills, while enhancing the health and comfort of their homes. We also train building trades students on the Building Performance Institute credentialing process, teaching them to evaluate homes for energy efficiency and safety.

What We Do

We once saved a family so much money that the gas company sent out a field inspector to investigate why the client’s gas usage had been reduced so significantly. They suspected the client of committing fraud. The investigator looked at all the measures recently completed (wall, attic, and basement insulation; new furnace, new stove, and new on-demand hot water tank, and air sealing) and apologized for bothering the client. My client only found out about the “investigation” when he asked the technician the reason for the visit. The technician explained that the investigation was initiated because the decreased usage was so significant that it was flagged as fraud, apologized again, and left.
